Kurmak ve Onarmak explores the life and career of Mualla Eyüboğlu, one of Turkey's earliest female architects. It is based on her personal archive and covers the period from the 1940s to the 1980s. After graduating from the State Academy of Fine Arts, Eyüboğlu participated in the establishment of Village Institutes, an important initiative of the Republican ideology. Later on, she was involved in restoring significant Ottoman monuments such as Topkapı Palace and Rumelihisarı.
A diverse collection of documents from Eyüboğlu's archive, such as autobiographical notes, letters, professional notebooks, drawings, photographs of monuments, and correspondence related to the restoration processes, not only offer a glimpse into the architect's life but also enables us to understand the architectural and restoration practices of the era.
